Top FAQs

The Isle of Wight is a county off the South of England in the English Channel and is popular for its sandy beaches and quaint seaside towns.

The Isle of Wight can be reached by ferry from two locations:

  • Portsmouth via Wightlink Ferries to Fishbourne - this journey only takes about 45 minutes
  • Lymington via Wightlink Ferries to Yarmouth - this journey will only take approximately 40 minutes

These ferries can transport cars, motor homes, bikes and passengers without vehicles so it is very easy to travel to Isle of Wight quickly from the South of England.

The Isle of Wight is a gorgeous island for any holiday home and there is plenty to see. Here are just some things for you to enjoy:

  • Shanklin Seafront - Shanklin Seafront is a very popular seaside resort which is located in the south of Isle of Wight. Aside from its sandy beaches to relax on, there is plenty of amusements and activities such as mini golf to keep the family entertained.
  • Isle of Wight Festival - The Isle of Wight Festival is a music festival which takes place annually in Newport and sees stellar lineups.
  • The Needles rocks - see the remarkable rocks formed by chalk and flint which poke out from the sea.
  • The Red Squirrel Trail - The Red Squirrel Trail is a gloriously scenic trail that takes you through woodlands where you can spot wildlife habitats and the stunning coastline.
  • The Diamond Isle - You can take a ride on the Needles Park chairlift and get incredible views of the Needles rocks, sand cliffs and lighthouse. You can even go dinosaur hunting (which will be great fun for young ones!)

So, whether you’re looking for tranquil lakehouses with impressive views or caravans for sale in Isle of Wight to whisk the family away to, you’ll find the perfect holiday home in Isle of Wight with plenty of activities nearby to keep you entertained.

The Isle of Wight is about 23 miles long and is the largest offshore island in England which has the second highest population.

If you’re looking for caravans for sale in Isle of Wight, you may be wondering what the benefits of being a static caravan owner are, here are just a few reasons why you should consider buying a static caravan:

  • Take a holiday trip when you want - You’ll be able to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life at a time that suits you. Here at Aria Resorts, our holiday parks are open all-year around (aside from Swanage Bay View which is open for 10 months of the year from March to December).
  • Have a space for building family memories - you can bring the family together in a holiday home such as a static caravan, enjoying activities and events in a different area.
  • You can bring your four-legged friend on holiday - Planning a holiday around pets can be hard work, not to mention costly when it comes to kennels. Here at Aria Resorts, our sites are dog friendly and there are lots of nearby areas that make for great walks.

No more holiday blues - coming back from a holiday can leave you feeling down, but when you have bought your own caravan, you know you can go back and stay there when you wish...even if it’s last minute!

Whilst you cannot permanently live in a holiday home at the majority of our resorts (as regulations apply to holiday homes, meaning you need a primary address of residence that is not your holiday home), we do have residential homes at our Glendevon in Scotland or Newquay Bay Resort in Cornwall where you can live all year around!

Whether you’re looking for lodges or caravans for sale in Isle of Wight, owning a holiday home has never been easier! Simply get in touch to speak to a member of our friendly team or if you prefer, you can either request a call back or arrange a viewing of a holiday home on each of our property pages. We will work with you every step of the way so that you can own a holiday home of your own!
